On each public performance date, a limited number of tickets for that night's performance will be distributed via digital lottery through our partner, TodayTix.  You can enter the lottery between 12am and 12pm (noon) on the day of each public performance. Each winner will get two (2) tickets to that night’s performance.  To allow as many different people as possible to attend performances throughout the summer, each person will be limited to receiving 2 (two) free tickets to a total of 2 (two) performances of each production during the Free Shakespeare in the Park season.

Those who win must be present to claim their ticket(s) with a valid form of identification between 5PM and 7:30PM at the Delacorte Theater Box Office. Tickets are only valid until 7:30PM for performances on the day they are issued.  Seat locations are distributed randomly upon redemption, not based on a person's redemption time at the Delacorte Box office. Follow the steps below to enter the digital lottery:

Step 1: Download the
TodayTix app, in the App Store or Google Play Store, or visit  Duplicate entries and entries made via both TodayTix app and website will be voided.

Step 2: Enter the lottery for two free tickets. Open the app and create your TodayTix account. Scroll down to find Free Shakespeare in the Park and enter our General, Senior Accessible or ADA Accessible Digital Lotteries. Make sure your name and e-mail address are correct and that TodayTix push notifications are turned on, so you can receive confirmation of lottery status. On the confirmation screen, you may double or triple your odds by sharing your entry via Facebook and Twitter.

Step 3: See If You Won!
You will be notified if you've won between noon and 2:30pm on the day of the show.  You must confirm your winning tickets in the TodayTix app within 30 minutes of being notified. Winners may begin to pick up their tickets with valid identification at 5pm at the Delacorte Theater Box Office, but tickets that are not claimed by 7:30pm will be redistributed to the standby line.

Evening Standby Line

A standby line may be formed at the Delacorte for performances when all tickets and vouchers are distributed for that evening's performance. The Public Theater staff will begin to monitor the line starting at 6:00pm. Free standby tickets will be distributed if and when they become available, two (2) per person. Finally, we are unable to offer separate ADA Accessible and Senior Accessible lines during standby before performances in the park due to limited availability and demand, but if you require some form of accommodation due to a mobility disability please speak to a member of our staff upon their arrival to monitor the line.

Hope you’re lucky!
